How to get there?

The IEEE NCA 2025 will be hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon, Portugal. IST is the largest and most prestigious school of engineering, science, and technology in Portugal, renowned for its strong academic and research contributions. Located in the heart of Lisbon, the campus offers a vibrant and inspiring setting for academic exchange and collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research in a dynamic European capital known for its rich cultural heritage, scenic beauty, and warm hospitality. Getting to Técnico
From Lisbon Airport (LIS) to Técnico
Instituto Superior Técnico is located approximately 5 km from Lisbon Airport. Here are the most convenient options:
- Metro (Recommended): Take the Red Line from the Aeroporto station. Change at Alameda to connect with the Green Line if needed. Exit at Alameda or Saldanha station — both are a short walk to Técnico.
- Taxi: A ride to Técnico usually takes 15–20 minutes and costs around €10–€15. Taxis are available outside the arrivals terminal.
- Ride-share (Uber/Bolt/Free Now): Pick-up zones are clearly marked at the airport. Prices are similar to taxis and often more convenient.
- Aerobus (Line 1): While slower, this service connects the airport to the city center and stops near Saldanha. Tickets cost about €4.
Subway
By subway, there are three stations near Técnico:
- Red line: Alameda and Saldanha
- Green line: Alameda
- Yellow line: Saldanha
Train
There are two train stations in a 15 minute walk from Técnico:
- Entrecampos
- Roma-Areeiro
